Initiative Based Curriculum
In agape, we believe that children
are active learners and need to be actively involved
and see the inter-relationships of the tasks they
perform. We view young children as active learners.
We involve them actively as co-directors, directing
and initiating the curriculum rather than as recipients
of curriculum content. An Initiative Based
Curriculum will open up a lot of new learning
opportunities for children as it becomes a vehicle
that builds firm foundations to achieve the following
lifelong learning skills:
| |
1)Thinking
2) Problem solving
3) Communication
4) Social and interpersonal skills
5) Teamwork
6) Research enquiry and investigation
7) Invention, enterprise and entrepreneurship
8) Managing one's own learning
9) Leadership |
